My name is Nikola Procházková and I am an architect. In contrast to work that requires compliance with many precise requirements, I fell in love with the complete freedom of playing with colors. That’s why I like to create abstract paintings, often inspired by natural elements. I enjoy the dynamic infusion of colors, different structures and dense surfaces. The result is always a completely new original guided by the mood of the moment. I think that all of us need to release a little control and let our inner imagination guide us.
Permanent exhibition: FREE, BEACH AND COFFEE at the cafe Kávový Magnát in Prague
Since the middle of June, the great cafe Kávový Magnát in Prague (near the Strašnická metro station) has had a new decoration. A serie of paintings on circular canvases as views in the cups of good coffee. Can you smell it yet? Slow down and take time for yourself. Relax, it´s such a little vacation.
I drink coffee because of its beautiful taste, which makes me feel good. Often just before I start to do some work, because it makes me feel better to start. Of course, it tastes even better when you don’t need anything, ideally by the sea! For me, coffee always with milk.
